Abstract
This keynote was given at the Improving University Teaching International Conference, Charles Sturt University, Port Macquarie, NSW, in 2018. In this presentation I explore the spaces inhabited by teaching-focused academics and how this supports or hinders their development. The keynote is based on the work I did for my PhD, which can be found in the British Library EThOS repository and University of Durham e-theses repository.
