Abstract

This paper reports the success of the first enclave arrangement to be undertaken in the ACT. Significant worker wages and changes in independence and self-esteem were recorded. Social security pension savings of over $7000 were also achieved. There is a need for union support for the concept of productivity-based wages to enable more people with disabilities to have access to the significant outcomes which an enclave can achieve.
