Abstract

Black, Indigenous, Pacific Islander, and Latinx populations are three times as likely to die from COVID‐19 as white neighbors, and populations of color are experiencing greater rates of anxiety, depression, and mental health concerns than white peers as well. Those findings come from a report issued by The Steve Fund, a national advocacy organization focused on the mental health of college and university students of color. The report also includes a plethora of suggestions for those who work in higher education to support their population of students of color who are currently facing mental health challenges.
