Abstract

Changing customer demands in today's competitive business environment are reshaping the traditional supply chain . The increase in global production, the disruption of production facilities overseas, and the presence of global customers have made supply chains more complex than ever. This complexity forces businesses to provide more flexibility, more speed, and more visibility at lower costs when performing operations. As the technology evolves rapidly and many areas can be integrated into the supply chain, emerging software presents the Supply Chain Control Tower as a good tool for businesses. Supply chain control towers play a key role as a center for coordinating the technology, organization and processes required to achieve greater visibility, acquisition and use of supply chain data to reach strategic objectives. The aim of this study is to draw attention to the Supply Chain Control systems and to raise awareness of the advantages and disadvantages of this area in order to better perform complex supply chain activities for businesses operating in global supply chain operations.
