Abstract

Reports on supply chains as major sources of cybersecurity threats. Companies and organizations increasingly share data, credentials, software code, applications, networks, and infrastructures with “trusted” supply chain partners. Supply chains can be sources of cybervulnerabilities. One estimate has suggested that supply chains account for 80% of all cyber breaches. Insecure supply chains have fostered well-known cyberattacks. In a quest to break large organizations’ networks, cyber-criminals may look beyond the first-tier supply chain partners.
