Abstract

This comparative case study investigates supply chain coordination with contracts in the trailer industry. First, it explores the types of contracts that firms use in the trailer industry. Second, it examines the motivations that drive firms through the implementation of contracts. Third, it seeks to identify differences between the contracting literature and actual managerial practices. Finally, this study identifies an ideal contract for the trailer industry.
