Abstract

Human capital today is the most important factor in the formation and development of innovative economy. The key role here is assigned to the education system, including the institutions of supplementary vocational education. Supplementary vocational education is expected not only to create and transfer new knowledge, but also to train technical specialists, focusing on the effective use of modern knowledge, information technologies and ensuring high quality labor potential of the organization's employees. Non-standard and creative thinking are desperately needed in the interests of creating competitive advantages as well as increasing competitiveness. That is the mission of supplementary vocational education. The article defines the role of supplementary vocational education as a new knowledge source in the process of development and implementation of technological innovations by the enterprise. The main groups of new knowledge sources of the enterprise have been identified. The place of supplementary vocational education in the system of new knowledge sources for technological innovation has been determined.
