Abstract
<p>PDF file - 77KB, Characterization of human prostate cancer associated fibroblasts (CAFs). Panel A, We generated five distinct primary cultures of human prostate cancer associated fibroblasts from prostatectomy specimens. Western blot of CAFs, PCa-Str2 to PCaStr6 comparatively analyzed with human prostate cancer epithelial cell lines (LNCaP, PC-3, DU-145) for the expression of AR, PSMA (prostate specific membrane antigen), cytokeratin-18 (CK-18), smooth-muscle α-actin and c-Met. Panel B, Immunofluorescent tracing of human prostate cancer epithelial cells and prostate cancer associated fibroblasts. PC-3 prostate cancer cells (red) and CAFs (green) were fluorescently labeled with either Invitrogen Cell tracker Orange CMRA or Cell tracker Green respectively and co-cultured for 48hrs. Merged image indicates the specific staining identifying each cell type.</p>
