Abstract

Various kinds of foreign bodies (vinyl tube, metal fragment, glass fragment, rubber tube, peanut, soy bean, broad bean, peas, red bean, sesame oil, salad oil, pea nut oil, urocholine, moliodol and siccarol powder) were placed from the incised opening of the trachea and bronchus of rabbit under direct bronchoscopy.Autopsy was carried out after certain internal for pathohistological examination of the trachea, bronchus and lung. The most intesne changes were noted after insertion of peanut and siccarol powder. Changes consisted of hemorrhagic pneumonia, atelectasis, and abscess. Thrombosis within the capillaries is especially characteristic. Even with the use of opaque media for clinical use in the bronchus, findings of bronchopneumonia was frequently noted for certain period.
