Abstract
We present a superweak model of $\mathrm{CP}$ nonconservation, within the framework of the SU(2)\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}U(1) gauge theory with three fermion generations. A ${Z}_{3}$ symmetry introduced in the Lagrangian prevents the appearance of a Kobayashi-Maskawa phase, requiring at the same time the number of Higgs doublets to be equal to the number of fermion generations. It is pointed out that if one does not allow for fine tuning of parameters, the neutral-Higgs-boson masses are required to be in the 30-TeV region. For these values of Higgs-boson masses, we expect the weak interaction to become strong at high energies.
