Abstract

Not only do the supervised injection facilities (SIFs) that have not yet made it to the United States reduce harms directly associated with injection drug use, but they also appear to decrease the risk of mortality from any cause, results of a new cohort study from Canada suggest. The study title is Supervised injection facility use and all‐cause mortality among people who inject drugs in Vancouver, Canada: A cohort study and the authors are Mary Clare Kennedy and colleagues.
