Abstract

This paper obtains the most general Iagrangian of supersymmetric quantum mechanics. In the case of the nonlinear quantum-mechanical sigma model, a mechanism of spontaneous breaking of the supersymmetry at the quantum level related to the uncertainty of the operator ordering is found. The search for such an effect in other quantum-mechanical models, as well as in field theory models, is of considerable interest and will permit a deeper study of the phenomenon of spontaneous breaking of supersymmetry in elementary-particle physics.
