Abstract
We construct supersymmetric, asymptotically ${\mathrm{AdS}}_{5}$ gravitational soliton solutions of five-dimensional gauged supergravity coupled to arbitrarily many vector multiplets. These generalize the supersymmetric solitons of $U(1{)}^{3}$ gauged supergravity previously obtained by Chong, Cvetic, Lu, and Pope as limits of local, nonsupersymmetric metrics. We show that the soliton spacetimes contain evanescent ergosurfaces and argue that, as a result, these solitons should be nonlinearly unstable.
