Abstract

In this paper, we obtain novel solutions of a coupled [Formula: see text], a coupled nonlinear Schrödinger equation and a coupled modified Korteweg de Vries equation which can be re-expressed as a linear superposition of either the sum or the difference of two hyperbolic pulse solutions or the sum of either a two-kink or a kink and an antikink solution. These results demonstrate that the notion of superposed solutions extends to coupled nonlinear equations as well.
