Abstract

While neutrino flavor mixing has been established by atmospheric neutrino experiments as well as solar and reactor neutrino experiments, there are still remaining mixing parameters and CP phases to be explored. In this article, sensitivities for measuring these parameters in future atmospheric neutrino experiments are discussed, assuming the same set of systematic uncertainties and the same detector performance as Super-Kamiokande. It was found that there is a possibility of discriminating the octants of θ 23 . Moreover, if θ 13 is close to the current reactor limit, there is a good opportunity for observing nonzero θ 13 and even measuring the CP phase in the lepton sector.
