Abstract
Superior mesenteric venous thrombosis (SMVT) is responsible for 6% to 9% of mesenteric ischemia cases and 1 in 5000 to 15,000 hospital admissions. SMVT occurs in the setting of stasis, surgery, vessel injury, hypercoagulable states, malignancy, portal hypertension, and inflammatory disorders. While endovascular treatment is considered as one of the therapeutic modalities, there is a paucity of information regarding the outcomes. This study aims to evaluate the outcomes of SMVT following various endovascular intervention techniques.
