Abstract

In article number 1900041, Naeem-ul-Hasan Saddiqi and Stefan Seeger present a multifunctional surface prepared by droplet-assisted growth and shaping method (DAGS), a facile room temperature processing method. The surface is composed of highly entangled nanofilament structure which is superhydrophobic and conductive in nature. To demonstrate superhydrophobicity, the authors show an almost spherical water droplet resting on top of nanofilaments. The illuminated image of the skyline in water droplet illustrates the conductive nature of the surface conducting electricity when connected to a power supply (the image in the droplet has been turned in an upright position for illustration reasons).
