Abstract

With its excellent mechanical properties and corrosion resistance, aluminum is widely used in the industrial market, second only to steel. However, in the actual working environment, corrosive medium is very easy to destroy aluminum alumina film, which affects its corrosion resistance. Therefore, the aluminum alloy fails to be applied and developed in more fields for its poor corrosion resistance. After laser processing and fluorination treatment, the surface of aluminum alloy is transformed into SPS. The modified laser processing surface has excellent superhydrophobic properties, making the surface isolated from the corrosive medium, which effectively enhances the corrosion resistance of aluminum alloy. The SPS properties of aluminum alloy was tested by electrochemical workstation. It is found that the SPS is very stable. Compared with the substrate and laser treated surface, SPS has better corrosion resistance and self-cleaning performance, which will help the application of aluminum alloy in more demanding fields.
