Abstract

A 17-year-old female with Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome and chronic calf pain and swelling was evaluated by venous plethysmography and ascending and descending venography. Grade IV venous insufficiency was present in an anomalous superficial femoral vein. Vein transposition was performed to the deep femoral vein which contained a competent vein valve. Postoperatively, the patient has symptomatic relief. Vein transposition for vein valve incompetency is discussed.
