Abstract

Equiatomic compounds HfRuP, ZrRuP, ZrRuAs, ZrRuSi, ZrRuGe, ZrRhSi and NbPS having the valence electrons per formula unit of 16 or 17 were prepared at high temperatures and high pressures. Electrical and magnetic properties of the compounds have been studied at low temperatures. These compounds show the superconducting transition above 10 K. The upper critical fields(Hc2's) of HfRuP, ZrRuX(X = P, As, Si and Ge) and NbPS are 14, 16, 14.1, 14.5, 8.3 and 17 tesla(T) at 0 K, respectively. The Hc2 of NbPS is highest among the equiatomic compounds.
