Abstract

The Koelreuteria paniculata (Coreuteria) is an exotic tree, native from China, Korea and Japan, in Brazil has landscape and ornamental purposes, but the species has seedcoat dormancy. Therefore, the aim of this study was to perform different tests to overcome the seedcoat dormancy in Koelreuteria paniculata seeds and determine which is the most efficient methodology for this process. To overcome dormancy were used two methods: hot water immersion and acid scarification, using H 2SO 4. To analyze Germination Index and Germination Speed Index ‐ GSI, were used 100 seeds per treatment divided into four replicates of 25 seeds. To perform the statistical procedure was applied the completely randomized design and results were submitted
