Abstract
El escritor austriaco Franz Spunda publicó una serie de novelas ocultistas durante la década de los años veinte, que han recibido muy poca atención académica. A partir de la aplicación de herramientas metodológicas provenientes del campo de los estudios de Esoterismo Occidental, este artículo presenta un análisis crítico de su primera novela, Devachan, en cuyos contenidos temáticos se observa un alineamiento, pero también una desviación, con respecto al eje doctrinal de la teosofía moderna.
