Abstract

A super twisting sliding mode control (STSMC) based on a linear disturbance observer (LDO) for LTI descriptor model with external disturbances is designed in this paper. Firstly, to eliminate the influence of external disturbance a LDO is designed. Secondly, the problem of STSMC controller design for robust stabilization of LTI descriptor system with external disturbance based on LDO is addressed. The stability of the singular model with external disturbance under the proposed algorithm is proved by using the Lyapunov stability theory. The resulting STSMC based on LDO can effectively attenuate the external disturbances. Ultimately, the proposed approach is designed and simulated for a second order singular model with external disturbance. The simulation results confirm the proper performance of the proposed approach in stabilization and disturbance attenuation.
