Abstract

A new technique to measure total photonuclear cross sections is presented using laser Compton photons and a high-resolution high-energy photon spectrometer. The energy resolving power is demonstrated to reach 0.1%. The obtained total photonuclear cross sections are compared with previous data obtained using different measurement methods.
