Abstract
Nutrition therapy is a key component of chronic kidney disease (CKD) treatment. A multidisciplinary approach, including dietetics, is considered as the optimal model of care for dialysis preparation. Dietetic interventions (DI) focus on symptom management and dietary changes to delay dialysis. Delaying dialysis is a significant motivator for patients to implement dietary changes. Evidence of the effectiveness of DI on delaying dialysis is limited. This study aimed to investigate the impact of DI on time to dialysis for patients attending a pre-dialysis clinic.
