Abstract

Mexico's Kidney Early Evaluation Program (KEEP) is a screening and educational initiative aimed at detecting chronic kidney disease (CKD) among adults with risk factors, including diabetes mellitus (DM), hypertension (HTN), or family history in first-degree relatives of DM, HTN, and/or CKD. The National Kidney Foundation developed the KEEP program in the United States, and the Mexican Kidney Foundation adapted it for use in Mexico. Between 2008 and 2017, 8858 individuals have been screened in 76 KEEP campaigns performed in 14 Mexican States.
