Abstract

Chronic kidney disease of unknown etiology (CKDu) has been studied on the light of its etiology and pathogenesis, mostly on possible involvement of environmental factors. Earlier inconsistent data on involvement of different heavy metals has been suggested along with plausible roles of herbicides, mycotoxins, pesticides, and algal toxins with CKDu.
