Abstract

Intravenous contrast media is frequently administered in patients undergoing CT scan to further improve accuracy in diagnostic imaging. However, Contrast-induced Nephropathy (CIN) is a feared complication of contrast media administration. This fear among physicians often leads to withholding of contrast medium in patients who were thought to be at risk, but compromising diagnostic accuracy.
