Abstract

Apurinic/apyrimidinic endodeoxyribonuclease 1 (APE1) is a multifunctional protein that controls cellular response to oxidative stress and processes DNA-repair function. APE1 has important roles in various disease progression outcomes; however, its function during kidney injury is unknown. To study this, we activated APE1 during kidney injury.
