Summer Rainfall Anomaly over Eastern China Teleconnected with Air-Sea Flux in East-Asia Seas

The optimum time-lagged teleconnection patterns of sea surface latent heat flux (LHF) and water vapor flux (WVF) anomalies in East-Asia seas with summer rainfall anomaly over eastern China were calculated by applying singular value decomposition (SVD) method. Preceding winter LHF mostly in the Kuroshio area, the Bay of Bengal and the zone of the North equatorial current may affect the summer rainfall at southeast coastal areas.
