If that is truly the case, there is a need to address the underlying issues that seem to focus on fairness and access. Other issues to examine are what comes next as far as the global trading system is concerned? Should China make some unilateral changes? Or is the solution simply for the United States to re-join the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP). The problem with that alternative is that it leaves China out. Or maybe we need more regional groupings that include China. Furthermore, the World Trade Organization (WTO) must address the weakness in its dispute settlement procedures.... You do not currently have access to this content.
