Abstract
A subjective assessment is made of the major ideas and results presented during the five days of the 4th International Conference on Amorphous and Liquid Semiconductors. Of the 150 papers dealing with theory, structure of disordered systems, devitrification kinetics, optical, electrical, and thermal properties, with phonon spectra, switching and memory devices, only a small part could be discussed in this review.
