Abstract

The scroll compressor is an ingenious machine used for compressing air or refrigerant, which was originally invented in 1905 by Creux, and it was not until the 1970s that commercial interest in the idea was revived. By specifying not parameterizations of the curve, but instead the radius of curvature as a function of tangent direction and using the intrinsic equation of a planar curve, the design can be changed in a way that allows all relevant geometrical quantities to be calculated in closed analytical form. Study of scroll profiles theory at present mainly is aiming at the single profile and its ameliorate or parameter optimization, not aiming at the nature characteristic of the profiles-equation of scroll profiles itself. Summarization analysis of scroll profiles geometry theory and conjugation functional scroll profiles were given. Development tendency was aimed at the study of general theory of scroll profiles which was based on engagement of conjugate curve and variational containment of pockets. Using the theory of functional analysis, the unified general functional equation of scrolls can be formed, based on the integration of all available mathematical models of scrolls. And the unified general equation can represent any probable scrolls. The conjugation characteristics of scrolls general functional equation and compressed mechanization of medium can be studied. Taking ratio of energy and efficiency as evaluation index, heat behavior analysis as physical foundation, general functional extremal mathematical model of scrolls can be given. The general scroll profiles can be optimized and the optimization scroll profiles can be gained
