Abstract

This text refers to the situation of primary school, especially the seventh and eighth grades, after the educational reform of 2017. The author shows the negative impact of the reform on the functioning of students, parents, teachers and publishers in the new educational reality. The author points the conditions resulting from the reform, indicates their consequences for the organization of the educational process, the textbook market, shows the incommensurability of the new formula of the school to the needs and expectations of educational entities. Critically analyzes the concept of the eighth grade exam, based on the Informator o egzaminie osmoklasisty… by the Regional Examination Commission. In conclusion, the author of the article argues that the negative consequences of the reform and the resulting consequences will primarily the hardest to lift for teachers and students.
