Abstract

In this letter, we investigate the sum rate performance of a generic one-pico-inside OFDMA network with opportunistic scheduling policy and the best-M partial feedback design. By a detailed examination of the statistical property of the selected user's signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio and its interplay with intercell interference, we derive the exact closed form expression for the sum rate under partial feedback. The general expression incorporates the special interference limited and noise limited scenarios as special cases. The result explains the exact interaction with partial feedback and the approach can be generalized and applied to many related problems.
