Abstract
Morphology controllable silver nanostructures were synthesized via a microwave-assisted polyol process. An interesting morphology evolution from Ag nanospheres to nanocubes and nanowires was realized by tuning the concentration of Na2S while keeping other parameters constant. In addition, the effect of S2− concentration on the morphology of silver nanoproducts was discussed by analyzing the reaction process and obtained products. Finally, a reasonable mechanism to explain the role of Ag2S seeds was suggested.
