Abstract
Glycinethymol blue has been studied spectrophotometrically and by using complementary tristimulus colorimetry over the whole region of its protolytic equilibria. The purification of commercial preparations is described. The seven dissociation constants were determined; the means of the p K a (H i I) values for i = 7, 6, 5, etc., were found to be -2.61, -1.42, -0.6,1.2, 6.98, 10.50, and 12.62, respectively.
