Abstract
A new genus and species, Sulawesimetopushenryi Herczek, Gorczyca & Taszakowski, sp. n., are described from Sulawesi, Indonesia. Photographs of the male and female habitus and male genitalia are presented and a short comparison with morphologically similar genera is drawn.
Highlights
The Isometopinae are one of the least numerous and poorly known subfamilies within Miridae
The new species can be distinguished from all others belonging to Gigantometopus, Astroscopometopus and Isometopidea by its body structure, combination of color, and metric features
The following metric features distinguish Sulawesimetopus henryi sp.n.: head width to vertex width ratio 3.55, head width to pronotum width 0.51, antennal segments II:I length ratio 5.96, pronotum width to head width 1.94
