Abstract

To investigate the suitable fresh embryo transfer strategy for mild ovarian stimulation with clomiphene citrate in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer (IVF-ET). The data of the 286 patients for IVF-ET from 1st January, 2013 to 30th June, 2015 in Clinical Center of Reproductive Medicine, the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University were retrospectively analyzed to find the difference of clinical pregnancy rate in different endometrial thickness groups. It had been described that clomiphene citrate had adverse effects on endometrium. Our data showed that these effects were decreased along with the increase of endometrial thickness. When the endometrial thickness reached 9 mm before embryo transfer, the clinical pregnancy rate for fresh embryo transfer was close to the regular ovarian stimulation protocol. When the endometrial thickness reaches 9 mm before embryo transfer, fresh embryo transfer is suitable for patients undergoing mild ovarian stimulation with clomiphene citrate.
