Abstract
Barczyk et al.’s article “Predictors of traumatic suicide attempts in youth presenting to hospitals with level I trauma centers” adds to the current literature by examining predictors of traumatic suicide attempts in youth from 2 Texas hospitals (1). This study, while limited in scope and generalizability, does add information on risk factors that may be associated with violent suicide attempts compared with attempts related to either ingestion or overdose.
