Abstract

A review of data for hospitalized patients taking antidepressants has found that suicidal thoughts and behavior as a consequence of antidepressant use were rare. Suicidal adverse reactions were most likely with use of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) and usually occurred early in treatment, researchers found.
