Abstract

ObjectiveIdentifying the presence of suicidal ideation and associated factors among university students from a public university in Brazil. MethodsA cross-sectional study was performed with 72 university students between 18 and 29 years old. Were used a sociodemographic data questionnaire and the Beck's Suicidal Ideation Scale. ResultsThe suicidal ideation was significantly in the participants, as well as the association of gender, gender identity, sexual orientation and housing with it. ConclusionsThe suicidal ideation in this population is important, and there is a need to explore the factors related, such as gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and housing.
