AbstractDespite vigorous resuscitation, two young males died shortly after recreational inhalation of butane gas from cigarette lighter refilling cylinders. Inhaled hydrocarbons may predispose to lethal myocardial arrhythmias. The use of adrenaline in resuscitating such patients should be reconsidered.
