Abstract

Based on work done at the Department of Anesthesiology, 7100 USAF Hospital, Wiesbaden, Germany. ☆CLIFTON L. DANCE, JR., M.D., was born in New York City. He received his bachelor of arts degree from the University of Michigan and his doctor of medicine degree from Wayne Medical School. He served a residency in anesthesiology at New England Deaconess Hospital (Boston) and also at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Bronx, New York. His military service was spent in the United States Air Force during 1956 and 1957, and he was stationed in England and Germany. His hobbies are skiing, skin diving and fiction writing. At present Doctor Dance is in the private practice of anesthesiology in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. ☆RICHARD J. WARD, M.D., was born in Seattle, Washington. He received his formal education at Gonzaga University and St. Louis University School of Medicine. He is a Major in the United States Air Force and has been on active duty since 1951. Formerly he was Consultant in Anesthesiology to the Surgeon, United States Air Force in Europe. He is now Assistant Chief, School of Anesthesiology, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. His hobbies are hi-fi and skiing. Doctor Ward has three children.
