Abstract

Annular rupture presents arare but potentially fatal complication of transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI). Although it can be subtle and subclinical in presentation, most severe forms present with hemodynamic instability and represent true emergencies requiring amore invasive treatment, even conventional surgery. We present acase of successful treatment of annular rupture by left ventricular outflow tract patch and surgical aortic valve replacement.
