Abstract
Background: Endobronchial carcinosarcoma is an extremely rare type of pulmonary carcinosarcoma. It is defined by coexisting histologic elements of carcinomatous parenchyma and sarcomatous stroma and the most common finding was squamous cell carcinoma. Although it is also characterized by polypoid growth without invasion of the adjoining bronchial mucosa, because the polypoid often shows necrosis, it hampers prompt diagnosis by adequate tissue samples and treatment.
