Abstract
The utilization of a combination of preoperative pneumoperitoneum, intraperitoneal and double layer reinforcement of abdominal wall defects with Marlex mesh combined with full thickness pedicle flaps to cover the implanted mesh has proved of value in the repair of massive recurrent abdominal incisional hernias.
