Abstract
A successfully treated case of ascending aortic dissection is reported in which the intimal tear occurred transversely underneath and between both coronary orifices. In addition to resection and grafting of the ascending aorta, the torn intima was bolstered and repaired by a technique utilizing a small pericardial patch.
