Abstract

Endoscopic therapeutic procedures are widely used as alternatives to surgical treatment in the hope of offering superior quality of life for patients by avoidance of a surgical procedure and its potential for postoperative complications.1 However, complications such as bleeding and perforation secondary to endoscopic treatment may occur. Open or laparoscopic surgery has been the treatment of gastric perforation except for a few cases.2,3 We present here a case of successful endoscopic management using metallic clips of a gastric perforation that arose as a result of endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) of a dysplastic lesion within an atrophic mucosa.
