Abstract

AbstractA 10‐year‐old, male, neutered, domestic shorthair cat was referred for investigation of cough and dyspnoea episodes. A large cranial mediastinal mass was detected using computed tomography. Upon surgical removal, the mass was diagnosed as a lymphoid‐rich thymoma. Ten months postoperatively, the tumour was reported to recur, followed 2 months later by the development of an axillary mass and enlarged thoracic and superficial cervical lymph nodes. Recurrent and metastatic thymoma was confirmed, which was successfully treated with radiation therapy.
